Margaret Wallis-Duffy, Kinesiology, R.M.T., C.I.M.I.
Passionate about her profession and the diversity that she has created within it, Margaret Wallis-Duffy also feels blessed to be surrounded by a compassionate and professional team at Wallis for Wellness.
As the founder of Wallis for Wellness, Margaret opened its doors in April of 1992 as a single practitioner facility. It quickly grew into the well-respected, integrative wellness clinic that it is today! http://www.wallisforwellness.com
With a background in Kinesiology from The University of Waterloo and as an Internationally Certified Infant Massage Instructor, Margaret has completed research workshops at The Touch Research Institute at The University of Miami's Jackson Medical Center and at the Touch Research Centre in Montreal. She has also completed her certification with special needs babies. As a result of this expertise, Margaret has worked with professionals at both Mount Sinai and Sick Children’s Hospitals in Toronto.
Margaret and her team are dedicated to educating and empowering parents to make a difference in the health and well being of their children. It is for this reason that she is happy to share her innovative educational on-line tutorials to help parents cope with gas/colic and teething in their babies. www.wowmomandbaby.com
You may recognize her from television shows such as Cityline, The 5 on City TV, Health Matters on Rogers, Better Canadian Living TV on CTV and The Food Network and is now enjoying success as she produces/hosts her own WebTV/Radio show called WOW Living; a one stop health and wellness destination for family. Margaret is a sought after media spokesperson. Her client list includes Johnson & Johnson Canada, Chattem Canada (manufacturer of ICY HOT®), Boiron Laboratories, Cottenelle, Poise, and Braun, just to name a few.
Her accomplishments are many including being the recipient of the 2008 Zonta Women of Achievement Award in the category of Sports, Wellness and Healthy Living and recently won the Open Care Patient’s Choice Award under the category of wellness clinics.
When she’s not interviewing guests on WoW WebTV/Radio Show or treating patients at her Wellness Clinic, she loves to spend time with her two dynamite children – Blake and Carley.
She is always looking for ways to share her motto in life…”Attitudes are contagious…is yours worth catching?”
