7 Secrets of Sleep for Babies and Children
Whether you have read every sleep book and website or spoke with other parents, these evidence-based facts may surprise you. If you need better sleep where do you start? What are the options? Do you really need to teach your child to sleep? Why is it so confusing? In this workshop Andrea will cover the basics of baby and child sleep from realistic expectations to essential concepts to get better sleep. Question and answer time will be included.
Andrea Strang is a Certified Gentle Sleep Consultant, Adult Insomnia Coach, Postpartum Doula, and educator. She has extensive training and in her 14 years of practice has helped over 8000 children and their families get better sleep. She has also spent over 10,000 hours in homes providing hands-on support to help babies sleep better with nurturing, supportive sleep strategies.
A major focus of the KinderSleep practice is based on attachment. Andrea has a training certificate in infant mental health and with her team continues to peruse training in this area. In working with families, attachment and the emotional well-being of children and parents are always a consideration in promoting nurturing, gentle and effective sleep strategies.
Andrea works with families throughout Canada and around the world providing, individual consultations, workshops, and in-home support for families with children from infant to 6 years old. She is also an instructor with The Child Sleep Institute and is a Night Specialist trainer.
She is also a member of the International Association of Sleep Consultants (IACSC), DoulaCARE, and the Association of Professional Sleep Consultants (APSC).
