Jumy Kim

Jumy Kim

Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner & Acupuncturist
R. TCMP, R.Ac., B.Sc., MA

With over 20 years of experience, Jumy Kim guides women through every stage of the journey to motherhood, from conception through pregnancy, labour and postnatal recovery.

A registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (TCMP), Jumy holds her diploma from the Toronto School of TCM and is certified in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology and Tuina Massage. Her academic path is as multidisciplinary as her practice: a Bachelor of Science in Anatomical Sciences from McGill University, a Master of Arts in East Asian Studies from Yonsei University, and a licensed Naturopath degree from Quebec. She is an active member of both the Quebec Naturopathic Medicine Association (QNMA) and the Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Association of Canada (CMAAC).

Jumy’s true strength lies in bridging worlds: East and West, tradition and modern science, the body and the whole person. Her deep training in holistic nutrition complements her extensive background in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, allowing her to blend eastern wisdom with modern nutritional science into one integrated approach to fertility, pregnancy and postnatal care. This includes specialised knowledge in natural labour induction techniques, supporting women as they approach their due date with safe, time-honoured acupuncture methods.

Fluent in English, French and Korean, Jumy has travelled extensively across Asia for research and teaching, and enjoys sharing her knowledge with the public through interactive seminars on TCM and acupuncture.
Above all, Jumy brings a compassionate, flexible and deeply personal approach to every woman she treats, meeting each patient exactly where she is in her journey.

Nurturing the Nurturer: Mama First

Caring for Your Body, Mind, and Spirit Through Bump to Baby and Beyond

Becoming a mother changes everything — your body, your identity, your relationships, your sense of time. Yet so much of the conversation around pregnancy and early parenthood centers on the baby, leaving many moms-to-be and new mothers unsure where their own needs fit in.

This panel brings together a team of health care professionals to shift that focus back to mom. Together, they’ll explore what it truly means to care for yourself — physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually — through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum months that follow.  When mom is cared for, she’s better able to care for her family.

Parenting doesn’t start with the baby’s first breath — it starts with taking care of mama first.
