Melissa Brabant
Regional Strategic Outreach and Education Coordinator, MTO
Melissa is with the Transportation Safety Division and has been promoting road safety with the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario for over 20 years.
Her role involves providing invaluable guidance and support to community groups and partners at both local and regional levels. She collaborates with a diverse array of organizations and committees, including Ontario Students Against Impaired Driving (OSAID), the Child Passenger Safety Association of Canada (CPSAC), and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), as well as public health and law enforcement agencies. Together, they create and implement impactful educational and outreach programs designed to enhance awareness of ministry legislation, regulations, and initiatives, ultimately fostering public compliance and improving road safety.
In addition to her collaborative efforts, she is a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician, dedicated to educating families on the proper usage and installation of child car seats, ensuring the safety of the youngest passengers on the road.
