Melissa has been promoting road safety for over 25 years with the Ministry of Transportation. In her current role as Team Leader with the Public Outreach and Education Office, she leads initiatives that advance road safety awareness and education across Ontario. She works closely with organizations, agencies, and community partners including OPP, municipal police services, Arrive Alive Drive Sober, and other injury prevention partners, to support and promote key road safety priorities.

Melissa oversees the development and delivery of public education and outreach initiatives, ensuring complex road safety policy, research, and legislation are translated into clear, accessible messaging for diverse audiences. She leads strategic partnerships and committees that bring together road safety organizations to collaborate on emerging issues, policy priorities, and coordinated public awareness efforts.

As a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician Instructor, Melissa supports car seat clinics and provides education to caregivers on proper child restraint use to help keep children safe in vehicles.
