Michael Holmes Jr. is a licensed contractor, carpenter, and TV host. He learned the value of “making it right” while working alongside his father, Mike Holmes, on the hit series Holmes on Homes®, and has been an integral part of the Holmes crew ever since.
Today, Michael co-hosts Holmes Family Rescue on HGTV US, and Holmes on Homes: Building a Legacy for Blue Ant Media, airing on Cottage Life. Fans can also revisit classic Holmes shows anytime on the FAST streaming channel Homeful.
As a licensed carpenter and contractor, Michael is passionate about building and renovating safe, healthy homes that are made to last. A strong advocate for sustainability, he prioritizes environmentally responsible building methods and products that reduce waste and improve energy efficiency.
Now raising a young daughter and son with his wife, Lisa-Marie, Michael is also building their own custom home with the same commitment to quality craftsmanship and sustainable choices. He remains dedicated to supporting and inspiring the next generation of skilled tradespeople through his work with Skills Canada, Skills Ontario, and other industry initiatives.
