Presentation:
Push Into Your Power: Your Best Positioning for a Safe, Supported Birth
Learn how to work with your body—not against it—during the pushing stage of your childbirth journey. Many people are only shown one way to give birth: lying on their backs. We see it on TV and in movies too. But there are actually several safe, effective alternative pushing positions that may feel better for you! So use gravity to your advantage, and work towards a smoother birth experience.
I’ll walk you through several positioning options including side-lying, hands-and-knees, supported squatting, upright kneeling, and more. We’ll discuss when and why different positions may be helpful, how they can reduce strain, and how to adapt them whether you have an epidural or not.
This session includes live demonstrations so you can see these positions in a supportive, judgment-free environment. You’ll leave with practical tools and the confidence to make informed decisions during your birth.
